Billie Maree’s free spirit has always been an essential part of her identity. Whale Eyes draws you in with its somewhat moody tone. In the melodic structure, which rises and falls like waves gently lapping at the shore of some windswept Scottish loch, echoes of ancient celtic folk can be heard. The vocals are full of richness.
The inspiration for Whale Eyes came to Billie when one of her closest friends told her about a vision she had while meditating. The song brings us face-to-face with our hidden side.
