UK-based artist Grace Savage returns after an 18-month absence with Lively Eyes. There are hints of pop and trip-hop in it. I especially enjoy the beatboxing here, since it adds so much uniqueness to the mix.
The lyrics are carefully crafted. Lively Eyes tells the story of a queer relationship, but it also celebrates the power of love, friendship, and resilience. Savage wishes to comfort those who have experienced grief.
