ili is a Glasgow-born and raised performer, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Her latest single, Tongue Tied, has been stuck in my head for days. It features upbeat pop elements that remain groovy and exciting. I really like the bassline here, for example. ili’s vocals add freshness to the production.
Tongue Tied talks about the butterfly stage of falling in love, when you can’t say ‘I love you’ quite yet. ili wrote this song while playing guitar in her bedroom.
