London-based singer, songwriter and producer charly haze has no plans to slow down any time soon. Her latest release, Busy Minds, though similar in style to her earlier releases, maintains its own identity. It contains some unexpected moments, such as the one around 02:38. You’ll be captivated by the production, which makes use of rippling arpeggios and dreamy shoegaze guitars. Sonically, it reflects the experiences of those affected by ADHD. With steady beats and vocals, the song builds tension and frustration as it progresses.
charly engages on an emotional level once again. The song’s lyrics describe past relationships with partners who were ADHD-diagnosed. What charly found very important was to avoid pointing fingers at anyone, it’s about two caring individuals who try to work things out, but sadly cannot.
