Ainsley Farrell is an American artist living in Sydney. She recently released Dirt, her highly anticipated second album. It examines many themes, from anxiety, loss, and restlessness, to violating men, existential crises, and complex relationships.
Dark Spell, the third track on the project, has a unique feel. I like the way the guitar provides melody and keeps things moving forward confidently. As you listen, you’ll become absorbed more and more. Farrell’s singing is breathtaking, bringing much heartfelt emotion to the table.
The lyrics here are riveting, and they’re honest. Dark Spell talks about losing yourself during a relationship and becoming unrecognizable. Check it out below!
