Canadian singer-songwriter Haddie Bell wrote Heavenly two years ago for her cousin who was battling an eating disorder and in rehab. The two grew up together without parental figures, relying on each other for support. This song was Haddie’s way of begging her cousin to keep fighting and hold on to hope.
Heavenly‘s atmospheric sounds build up beautifully until an enthralling, rousing end section wraps it all up. The vocals sound phenomenal, and you can feel every emotion they communicate. Bell really wanted to go above and beyond with her performance.
