Emeryld just dropped her new single Lights Camera Baby! after hitting the road with Lola Young, Sofia Isella, and Snow Wife on their packed tours. The song is all about her previous partner. It becomes apparent that there was a disconnect between the two. Like one of them (guess who?) was kinda living in denial, choosing to see only what they wanted to see. Meanwhile, Emeryld was keeping it real, seeing things for how they truly were. The “lights camera baby” and “showbiz” stand for how there was this performative, superficial vibe to their relationship.
This track has a really cool electro-pop vibe going on with the production. I enjoy the way all the elements of the music sound and reach your ears. And the vocals are on point, delivering the lyrics with just the right energy and emotion.
