18-year-old independent pop artist Kacey Fifield releases her new single, Self Sabotage. The production may be easygoing, but there are some interesting aspects to it. The guitar and beat balance each other well, for example. I’d also like to mention that the vocals have their own identity and are able to separate themselves from the soundscape stylistically.
Self Sabotage describes the difficult feeling of being the problem in a relationship. Kacey wrote it from the perspective of her best friend’s ex (with permission, of course), but as she was writing, she realized how relatable the situation is. Ultimately, everyone self-sabotages at times, and that’s what this song talks about.
Kacey puts herself on the map here. Self Sabotage shows the power of music. Check it out below!
