Lauren Dejey’s new single, Solar, is a sonic snapshot of a magical night in June of last year. According to Dejey, she was sitting on a rooftop, gazing at the London skyline under a huge red moon. It felt as if the universe had placed it there just for her. The next day, she wrote this dreamy love song to capture that feeling.
Solar shows a softer, more romantic side of Dejey. It’s the first love song she has written while in a relationship. Dejey describes it as “another one you can sing at the top of your lungs.” The alt-pop melodies and pulsing beat evoke comfort, making you forget your worries.
