Minneapolis-born and LA-based singer-songwriter, composer, and producer Emily Bjorke knows what a hit needs and shows this in Skeletons in Toronto, the second single ahead of her upcoming record. She handled nearly every aspect of the song’s polished pop production herself, with Hunter Livsey contributing the live drums. The vocals here are crisp and do everything right, especially during the chorus, where they stick out.
Emily wrote this track when she was in Toronto for TIFF. She loved being there and she loves the people of Toronto so much; they make her happy. One night, her plans fell through and she thought, “What am I supposed to do?” She guessed she’d write a song about how she’s feeling right now. And the rest is history.
