Ariane Gabriel’s new single je t’efface is all about removing an ex from your life. The title itself means “I erase you” in French, which captures the feeling of wanting to move on from someone you once knew.
Ariane wrote this song when she was coming out the other end of a tough breakup. You know, that awkward stage where you’ve mostly finished dealing with the end of a relationship, but your lives are still tangled up – the same friend group, the same neighborhood, the same amazing sushi spot you used to go to together all the time. But you’re not together anymore.
