Chelle’s dad gave her some wise advice during a long phone call about her growing pains and questioning her purpose in life. He told the singer, “if you wanna live, live now. Go on that trip, take the scenic route, focus on the things that make you happy right now because everything you could ever want are all the things that you should never doubt”.
Immediately after that meaningful conversation, Chelle was inspired to write Vain. The song urges us to focus on embracing each moment and pursuing our passions fearlessly. There’s no point in wasting time being vain or worrying about what others think. All that really matters is making the most of this one life we have.
