EMI WIDE’s latest single, titled hate u, sheds light on a thought-provoking aspect of our modern society. It examines the detrimental effects of constantly striving to display happiness and achievement on social media platforms, which can further complicate the already complex journey of facing emotions.
With a pop/ punk princess energy inspired by the likes of Olivia Rodrigo and Upsahl, the song’s production is awesome. It’s jam-packed with catchy sounds that nicely complement the lyrics. The vocals vary in intensity, sometimes mellow, sometimes dynamic, making them exceptional.
