Genevieve Miles, the Bristol and Birmingham based self-made musician behind the charismatic and genre-blending single Tough Love, releases her new EP, So heavy, so hard to hold. Its opening track, Beer In The Fridge, carries autumnal acoustic guitar tones. Floating violins and hand-tapped percussion create a lovely atmosphere throughout The vocals not only sound heartfelt, they’re also very clear.
Beer In The Fridge reflects a bittersweet past relationship that’s caught between imagined happiness and truthful reality. It feels as if balance is just within reach, but is always obscured by clouds.
