Chloe Star releases her new single, emergency contact, and it’s a sharp left turn from the tender vulnerability of recent singles call you back and i didn’t wanna say goodbye. Where those tracks found Chloe sitting with her hurt, this one finds her done with it. The production is punchy, the lyrics are outspoken in a good way, and the vocals sound crystal clear.
Chloe describes it perfectly herself: “The song just feels like you’re walking through the clouds with your middle finger to the sky.” That’s exactly what it sounds like, not reckless, not bitter, just free.
