Grace Lee, a singer-songwriter originally from Detroit, Michigan, who now resides in Nashville, presents her latest single, Dream House. The track begins with a dreamlike quality, entrancing listeners right away. At around the 45-second mark, the sound intensifies, which gives the sound more impact. The vocals are ingeniously manipulated, charting a distinctive course throughout.
Lee wrote this song as a means to grapple with a relationship that had left her feeling breached. It’s about erecting barriers and creating personal space to facilitate healing… a withdrawal of access. It signifies a crucial phase of isolation that, although difficult, can ultimately lead to empowerment.
