Normies comes from Brimheim’s upcoming sophomore album, RATKING, and features hazy alt-pop vocals and a comfy-pop melody. In addition, there’s some gritty guitar work halfway. The way it all comes together seems odd, but it works so well.
The song provides contemplation on Helena’s past romantic involvements that led her to completely disregard healthy boundaries: She experienced such intense infatuation that she hopped on a train in the dead of night impulsively, only to arrive uninvited and unexpectedly at the doorstep of someone she barely knew. It’s an utterly irrational act!
