Pop singer, songwriter and visual artist Lunar June (aka Olivia Judd) drops her highly-anticipated second EP an ode to the girl i once was, featuring the single l-o-v-e. The song is somewhat reminiscent of Charli Xcx, especially because of its sassy electronic beats. The production is super catchy, I couldn’t get the bridge out of my head after listening to it for the first time. The vocals are brilliantly manipulated.
Lunar wrote this song about the complex and conflicting emotions related to being angry with someone, feeling neglected in a relationship, frustrated with seemingly never-ending cycles, while also deeply missing and loving them.
