Portland-based band PRESIDIO, fronted by Gabriella De La Cruz and Will Zesiger, recently released Shine of Love. The song follows a relationship caught in confusion, with questions about who is responsible and where things are actually heading. I find the lyrical shift from blame towards self-preservation particularly compelling.
Gabriella and Will’s voices bring a strong emotional presence to the song, even more so when the chorus returns. And that guitar solo? It couldn’t come at a better moment.
