Ny Oh’s new single Shine doesn’t function as a polite teaser. Percussion snaps like quick brushstrokes, a bassline winks instead of plods, and her voice moves between warmth and mischief. It’s a track that feels assembled by hand rather than produced in a vacuum.
The accompanying hand-animated video by May Kindred-Boothby amplifies that tactile quality. I especially like the vibrant colors.
