London-based singer-songwriter Ladybyrd shares her new pop single, Open Cage. The song sounds cinematic, but at the same time seems to be influenced by Lana Del Rey. What you end up with is something dazzling. We love how the electric guitar adds grit to what we consider to be a core part of the production. Dynamic changes in the vocals elevate it to the next level.
Open Cage portrays the innocence of a relationship’s infancy, which soon turns tumultuous. You feel trapped from one moment to the next. And even though you want to walk away sometimes, you try to save what you can.
