Aubrey Whitfield (The Shires, Little Mix, Kelly Clarkson) is one of the most successful female music producers in the UK. She shares her new single, Lose Someone. It has beautiful piano work integrated into an arrangement that lights up the world. The vocals by Lydia Singer are organic in tone, and their sincerity can be felt.
Aubrey wrote this song shortly after a family member’s passing, taking inspiration from the fleeting moment just after waking up, when you forget the loss and experience peace for a fraction of a second. However, that tranquility is abruptly shattered when reality sets in. The lyrics are certainly personal, but they also remind you that it’s okay to grieve in your own way, and that everything you feel is valuable.
