Singer-songwriter Ruby Shabazz releases her new single, Loss. There are traces of Ms. Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu infused into it, which adds to the vintage feel of the song. Soulful melodies take the lead, while a groovy bassline keeps the beat going in the background. Cool scratching can also be found here. I love the vocal quality.
Loss depicts the pain of losing a loved one and the heartbreak, grief, and mental challenges that follow. During this time, you don’t feel like yourself. As you try to figure out how to move forward, everything seems so dark.
