Lefuturewave is a music blog based in the Netherlands. We feature emerging as well as established artists.
VASILIKÍ was born and raised in Athens, Greece and moved to New York City at age nineteen to pursue a performing arts career. She just debuted her alternative retro/dream pop version of Cheri Cheri Lady. It sounds nostalgic, but it’s fun nonetheless. I love the typical 80s aesthetic. The vocals are in tune with the production, bringing some fresh energy to the chorus.
My guess is that Cheri Cheri Lady is only a warm-up for VASILIKÍ. We’ve heard original music will follow, so we have plenty to look forward to.
