Brooklyn-based neo-soul artist Kristen Merritt drops her latest single ISFTBS. We love the sassy style of singing she uses here. It pulls you into the excitement fairly quickly, and that’s always a positive sign. The vocal melodies in the background lend weight to the production. The drums sound highly timed and reverberate with creativity.
The lyrics are brilliant. It was a warm summer day in 2023 when Kristen started to write them. She decided to try an exercise where you take a few words and create some sort of story.
