Singer-songwriter Ryan McMurtry releases his new single, Summer Rain. Calm guitar melodies establish the path for the drums. Beautiful vocals linger above them, laying the scene for the lyrics to unfold. Things remain very stable during the chorus.
Summer Rain talks about doubts and losing yourself in time. We all have moments when we reflect on life, looking back at how it was. In some cases, it can be sad, because old memories make you realize how much has changed since then.
Ryan keeps his tone thoughtful at every turn here. Summer Rain may even bring a tear to your eye, but that’s okay. Music provides comfort when you need it most.
