British singer-songwriter Berenice plays Spaghetti Western Pop. Basically, it means she marries her Italian heritage with Morricone and Leone drama and old-school rock. We love it, as things stay really original. Little Red Heart, Berenice’s debut single, has a strong melodic movement. Striking guitar chords dominate the sound, pushing it to its ultimateity. Raw vocals underpin this energy and lend their spirit to the music.
Little Read Heart talks about someone who has caused pain and tried to exert influence over feelings. Berenice shows weariness with the other person’s mind games and attempts to control them emotionally. There’s defiance and strength in the lyrics.
Berenice isn’t trying to do something conventional, but rather something more experimental. She likes to be in her own league. Check out Little Read Heart below!
