Montreal-based singer-songwriter Emi Jeen releases her new single, Trouble & Pain. In it, she explains what happens in troubled relationships. The song pointedly maps out cycles of shattered promises and fading affection, offering a narrative where moving on independently emerges as the most viable choice.
Trouble & Pain embraces modern pop. I fancy how the textures make their mark without slowing down, but instead move at a faster pace. Emi’s vocals are golden, bringing so much charm to the whole thing.
You should hear your hit alarm when listening to Trouble & Pain. I mean, it’s so good. Emi is an expert at what she does.
