Emerging artist Isabel Maria releases her new single, At Least We Don’t Have Kids. It gives an entertaining musical analysis of the concept of innovation. I love the way things are set in motion here. Things start out as a ballad, but then take an indie-pop turn. You know you’re listening to the right song as soon as the thick harmonies and galactic synths enter, because, wow, they sound fabulous. The vocals follow the instructions, but also peak when necessary.
Isabel describes At Least We Don’t Have Kids as a song she quickly penned in a two-hour burst of creativity, driven by the urgency to articulate her thoughts within a limited timeframe. It outlines the notion of shared responsibility in a given scenario, where the focus is on discovering a somewhat lighthearted positive aspect within a challenging situation.
