Rising singer-songwriter Honey Ironic releases her new single, Bite My Nails. In it, she wrestles with the realization of being involved with someone insidious and hypocritical, who triggers feelings of anxiety, embodied by the act of biting nails. Even after attempting to break free from the destructive cycle, intense emotions continue to persist.
Rock-inspired instrumentals underscore the arrangement here. Punchy guitars speed up the melody. The drums feel hard-hitting, even more so during the chorus when they increase in volume. The vocals are more delicate, so they contrast well with the rest of the music.
Honey Ironic is perhaps not ironic at all, but iconic instead. Check out Bite My Nails below!
