Indie-pop inventor Diana Omar tries not to wait for an upcoming trend, but to create it instead. She releases her new single, gold. It gleams with its more subdued beats/grooves and electronic influences. I’m hooked by the chorus, which takes you by the hand and holds on tight. The vocals work well on their own, transforming the ordinary into something special.
In this song, Diana talks about admiring someone’s soul and feeling like they’re complete and full of value, like gold. The lyrics elaborate on motifs of surrender, being at peace in another’s presence, and embracing vulnerability.
Diana veers off the mainstream to keep her title as a pioneer. We dig her approach. gold should go gold, right? It’s got so much potential. Check out the song below!
