Swiss-American alt-pop/R&B artist, songwriter, and producer Koda Corvette seems to listen to many types of artists. On her most recent single, Back to Your Place, you can hear the influence of Prince and The 1975. Fabulous guitars and 80s synths are featured, searching for the right tempo. The vocals sparkle like stars and take away all your stress. The verses build up nicely to a chorus where the action really picks up.
Back to Your Place shows how other people can make you feel comfortable and play a vital role in your young years, helping you through all the mistakes you make. The lyrics came into existence during a 2019 trip to Switzerland, where Corvette found inspiration after a night out in Bern with her cousins and their friends, sharing stories and challenges that mirror those of her peers in Los Angeles.
Corvette keeps it real, and that’s what we like. You can really identify with what she says. Check out Back to Your Place below!
