Lefuturewave is a music blog based in the Netherlands. We feature emerging as well as established artists.
In Leeds, Amy Illingworth and Lily Sturt-Bolshaw formed Sunflower Thieves, a band rooted in sisterhood and shaped by the music scene there. They release their new single, So Far So Good. It has all the charm of folk music and utilizes stunning instrumentation. I enjoy the strings, for example. The vocals are fluid in how they adapt to the music.
The lyrics look back on moments from the past, juxtaposing them with the fast-paced, technology-driven present. There’s a yearning for deeper connections and a hint of existential questioning about faith, relationships, and the fleeting nature of time.
