Stefano Milella created Nother as a solo project after years of collaborating as a producer, drummer, and composer. He strives to find the deepest sounds on his new EP PHOBOS. It has a cinematic layer that’s present from the very first song. Birth. It literally pulled me in. I like the abstract ambiance that almost makes you feel like you’ve been born again. The fact that a melodic approach was chosen at the end also remains a cool touch. The Light is more accessible with background vocals that bring the stars down to earth. Flapping feels very special, because it helps you understand the rules of reality. interesting choices have been made here.
The Table continues on previously established principles. But here, it’s the structure that matters most. While listening, you might believe you’re witnessing an emotional scene happening on the roof of an Italian building. Family remains insane melodically, and the outro holds up well. Definitely a fan of it.
Nother is an experienced musician, you can tell. With PHOBOS, he sets an example for others to follow. Check out the project below!
