In a world of ambiguous soundscapes, Y is Nature explores themes of evasion, secrecy, and suspicion, influenced by the cinematic “spy thriller” genre. They have freshly released their new single, Transition. Its lyrics indicate a wish to be left alone and a reluctance to be found or forced into rebirth. This is due to fear and not knowing whether you can control the future.
Through soft vocals, soaring synth chords, and prominent rhythms, the sound takes shape. I love how the vocals challenge possibilities and have some tricks up their sleeves. The chorus is sweet as a bowl of honey.
