Boy Jr. recently dropped their latest single Your Mom Is Disappointed In You, which is off their upcoming album I Love Getting Dumped. The lyrics shine a light on what it’s like dating someone who isn’t at their best. Because of this, they’re immature, inconsistent in what they want, and stuffed with contradictions that leave you scratching your head. Even when you give them lot of chances, they don’t seem to be able to get it together.
Sonically, Your Mom Is Disappointed In You has a catchy synth line that ties everything together. And near the end, the song surprises you with some strong electric guitar coming in. Boy Jr.’s vocals are very convincing too, they really sell the emotion and frustration of being with someone who isn’t ready for a serious relationship.
