Scars on Louise strives to innovate their style while maintaining their original vision of creating appealing soundscapes. Aspects of alternative rock and pop are apparent on the up-and-coming band’s debut album, TRINITY x BODY, making it a fascinating hybrid. Also, it’s more than your run-of-the-mill debut – there are layers of textures and ideas that keep unraveling with each listen.

TRINITY x BODY gives you this intense look into topics like figuring out who you are, inner challenges, and the journey for self-awareness. And the band tells their story in an honest, bare bones way. It’s pretty rad they can get that vulnerable and still deliver such a full sound at the same time. You have to respect an act willing to put it all on the line.

As I reflect on this album, a few tracks really stick out. Kings of the Night has been firmly planted in the regular rotation – its gritty guitars and euphoric vocals during the chorus elevate it to an absolute anthem. There’s an engaging rawness to the sound that pulls me in and gets me enthusiastic.

However, a song like Letter to My Brain also works well. Stunning piano melodies packed with sentiment comprise this production. Got High has a vibe that’s faintly reminiscent of Taylor Swift – it’s super easy to sing along to. And of course, special mention should go to the closing track Snowglobe for providing the right bookend to wrap up the album.

Whether rocking out or baring their soul through slower tracks, Scars on Louise’s dedication to music can be felt. I’ll keep a close eye on their next move. Check out TRINITY x BODY below!
