Waste Time by Hannah Stokes is a neo-soul, pop-jazz track about feeling stuck in a cycle of making and repeating the same mistakes, leading to wasted time and a feeling of being lost. While the lyrics don’t provide answers, the groove hints that change starts within by finding the strength to break free from destructive patterns.
For me, Waste Time functions as a reminder that we all have less good times. Fortunately, you can always hit reset. Hannah’s gift is using her music to say “I see you, and it’s okay.
