In today’s world, where the fight for gender equality is more relevant than ever, Charlotte Morris’ latest single Raised by a Woman stands as a powerful anthem celebrating the resilience and sacrifices of women.
As the song unfolds, it becomes clear that the singer/songwriter isn’t merely praising mothers in a traditional sense. Instead, she’s raising awareness of the broader concept of being “raised by a woman” – a recognition that women’s influence extends far beyond the confines of the nuclear family. From teachers to mentors, aunts to grandmothers, the women in our lives have played an invaluable role in guiding us, instilling values, and empowering us to find our voices.
Bryce Roberts was the one who mixed this track, but he had some serious talent backing him up. There’s David Flint shredding on guitar, Chris Nohl laying down some killer keyboard riffs, Dave Spicher holding it down on the bass, and Billy Thomas keeping a tight beat on drums, along with backing vocals. And let’s not forget Charlotte Morris herself, bringing that sweet violin flavor to the mix.
