Singer/songwriter The Wren has just dropped her new single called redwood trees. As she was approaching her 25th birthday, she felt a desire to escape the pressures she was feeling in her own life. One day, the lyrics “I wanna go for a walk and leave myself at home” suddenly came to her. Putting those feelings into words seemed to bring her some peace from the emotions she had been struggling with for so long.
Quiet guitar melodies bring you deeper into the song’s musical part. The vocals harmonize well and are built to be relied upon. The chorus has moody, but also catchy undertone, giving it an ageless quality.
Getting to release this personal song must feel very cathartic and meaningful for The Wren now that she moves into this next chapter of her life and career. Check out redwood trees below!
