Danish singer-songwriter MILA releases her new single, Softie. It revolves around the feeling of being irresistibly drawn to someone, even though it may be problematic or irrational. MILA describes how the other person’s touch has a profound effect on her, making her feel vulnerable and unable to resist their charm.
The production of Softie pays homage to Tate McRae while remaining entirely distinctly its own. I love the electronic texture during the chorus, which has a lot of catchy appeal. The vocals feel steady, moving through the backdrop like heroes.
