Singer/songwriter Julia Calvin releases Anybody Else in conjunction with debut EP, Everything to Gain. She put all of her emotions into this track during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, she was preparing to make the big move to Los Angeles, California – the entertainment capital of the world.
Fresh out of school and filled with uncertainty about her next steps, Julia found solace in songwriting amidst the global chaos. Anybody Else became a form of self-therapy, helping her work through the difficult decisions and pivotal life changes on the horizon.
The song’s indie pop production successfully captures the contemplative yet hopeful vibe. Smooth vocals glide over lush strings, immersing the listener in Julia’s mind. You can truly hear the vulnerability and the search for meaning throughout her performance.
