Reasons is the first single from Natasha Hunt Lee’s upcoming album, and will surely receive rave responses. But this isn’t just any old song release – it’s accompanied by a stunning music video with visuals shot by the renowned Callum Walker Hutchinson, who’s lent his talents to publications like Elle, GQ, and Wonderland.
But the real magic lies in the song itself. Co-written and produced by the talented Brandon Shoop, who’s worked with artists like ROLE MODEL, Arden Jones, and Quinn XCII, Reasons takes us on an introspective walk through the complexities of unrequited love and the struggle to find acceptance.
As Natasha herself puts it, “People like to think that accepting something is the same as finding peace with it, but it’s not really as simple as that.” And that’s exactly what Reasons explores – that gray area where feelings aren’t reciprocated, and the loneliness that comes with it.
Not all is gloom and doom, however. At its core, Reasons speaks about extending grace – both to yourself for feeling the way you do, and to the other person as well. It’s a powerful confirmation that our emotions are valid, and that it’s okay to sit with them, even when they’re messy.
