Òlah Bliss has become one of my favorite artists over the past few years because she brings constantly fire and doesn’t hide her emotions. Keeping it real is what she does on Bad Vibes. The song depicts a situation where she’s tired of someone who brings negativity and trouble into her life. While she tries to please this person with gestures like cooking dinner and providing wine, the relationship is toxic and draining. In the end, Bliss wishes to break free from destructive influences, preferring to be alone.
The production on Bad Vibes is really top-of-the-line. It’s got that trap sound infused all over, giving it a gritty, hard-hitting vibe. I think what really distinguishes the track is the switch-up in the beat around 1:25 – it’s just phenomenal. And Bliss’ performance sounds spot on too, you can hear the belief and drive behind it.
