Canadian singer-songwriter Zoe Twist releases her new single, Tripping. She sings about wanting to let go and embrace whatever altered state lies ahead, simply to experience that feeling of being truly present with another person. Deep stuff, if you ask me.
Tripping just hits you right in the feels. I think a lot of us are looking for some kind of belonging in this world that can feel pretty cold and uncaring at times. Sometimes it takes a lot of mental energy to find your way.
Tripping has smooth indie pop production, complete with steady drum beats and catchy guitar riffs. I appreciate how the vocals provide great texture and let the sound take flight. The chorus is incredible, really cool work.
