Singer-songwriter Kyra Baskin releases her sophomore single, Mercy. It falls under the rock category, and its appealing sound will quickly convince you. The instrumental, composed of catchy guitars and pounding drums, is magical, for example. The vocals sound beautiful, echoing the energy of the main melody.
Throughout the song, there’s a constant battle between Baskin’s two sides, and we see her grappling with feelings of hurt, betrayal, and the desire for justice, all while seeking self-acceptance and reconciliation within herself. The lyrics show some interesting contrasts.
