With her debut EP Melancholia High Season in 2023, Sarah von Reis established herself as one of the most interesting names in Swedish pop music. She now releases Patrol. Organic instruments meet an electronic soundscape and von Reis´s velvety vocals hold our hand as we embark on a journey that finishes in a crescendo.
Patrol talks about a sleepless, restless night in a relationship in which both parties are struggling with unresolved issues, stuff that has been swept under the rug or ignored for too long. Eventually, the weight of it all forces them to let their frustrations, pain, and dark emotions spill into the open, hoping that by confronting these destructive elements, they can free themselves and move toward a healthier, more honest connection.
Patrol will be followed by the much-anticipated debut album Fish Food on March 28. In the meantime, you’ll want to have this track on repeat. Check it out below!
