It convincingly sketches the overthinking phase of infatuation, where you fixate on your crush’s past relationships and scrutinizes every move. Lines like “I can’t help… keep tabs on your exes” and “Am I staring too much at your right eye? Should I switch to the left?” resemble the nervous energy of having feelings.
The Problem has great indie pop production. I like how the verses have a smooth vibe, while the chorus is more gritty. The vocals weave in and out of each other, maintaining their central position continuously.
