Singer-songwriter Jacki Ezra releases her new single, problematic. She penned the lyrics back in December 2023, but didn’t actually record it until October 10th, 2024. Ironically one year after the relationship ended that the song is about.
Jacki really spills the beans, detailing how her ex betrayed her trust and failed to have her back when she needed them most. The lyrics cut deep, reflecting all the hurt and disappointment that comes from being in this situation.
problematic is well-produced with strong indie rock influences, especially in the final section. Those punchy guitars and drums are super noticeable. The vocals are cool too, matching the background slickly.
