Swedish singer-songwriter Margot Weber releases her debut single, Romance Is Dead. It has cinematic alt/indie production in the style of Lana Del Rey. I love how the melodic textures progress and make the sound shimmer. The vocals are soft, accentuating the dreaminess of the song.
Romance Is Dead talks about the infidelity and the pressure on women to be perfect in relationships, shedding light on the unrealistic expectations, emotional sacrifices, and societal double standards they often face. The lyrics are really thoughtful.
